Why Recycle a Toner Cartridge?

The recycled toner cartridge industry may be unfamiliar to most people. However, it is saving the consumer a lot of money and is reducing many environmental problems. Several third party companies recycle toner cartridges. They have made significant improvements over the past few years.

These toner-recycling companies take empty toner cartridges. They clean the cartridge and fill it with the exact toner required for the laser printer. Then, they do a series of quality control tests to insure the recycled toner cartridges meet all the specifications established by the printer manufacturer. They replace any toner cartridge parts that do not meet performance expectations.

Once, the toner cartridge has been recycled and passes the quality assurance test, it is sold again to the public. These recycled toner cartridges are guaranteed to be as good as the original cartridge.

Note: Some people refer to recycled toner cartridges as compatible toner cartridges. It is true that they are compatible to the laser printer. However, there are also compatible toner cartridges that are made from all new parts. Check the labeling if you have questions. A reputable toner company will provide quality toner cartridges and stand behind them, regardless of the manufacturing process.

It is a good idea to recycle toner. The companies that recycle toner cartridges do two very important things. First, they prevent tons of plastic toner cartridges from going to our landfills. A toner cartridge is an oil-based product that takes years to decompose. Second, recycled toner cartridges cost from 40% to 75% less than a new brand name toner cartridge.

It’s easy to participate in a toner cartridge recycle program. Many major companies will allow you to drop off your empty toner cartridge at their store. So, instead of throwing out that empty toner cartridge, recycle it. A recycled toner cartridge is a win-win for you and the environment.
